The latest NEA Member Benefits research shows students are graduating with greater and greater debt. This workshop provides extensive information about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, including a walk-thru website demo of the new Savi Student Loan Navigator program.

  • NEA Student Debt Navigator powered by Savi
    NEA Member Benefits has partnered with Savi to provide NEA members a free online student loan evaluation tool to determine their eligibility for federal repayment and forgiveness programs. Just answer a few questions on our secure website, and the Loan Forgiveness Navigator will do the rest. Learn more >

  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness 
    If you work full-time in a public service job (such as education), you may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. This means that loans could be completely forgiven after ten years of working and making payments. Learn more >
  • Teacher Loan Forgiveness 
    Under the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program, if you teach full-time for five complete and consecutive academic years in a low-income school or educational service agency, and meet other qualifications, you may be eligible for forgiveness of up to $17,500 on your Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans and your Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans. Learn more >
  • Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Options 
    There are a number of IDR plans that may help to lower your monthly federal student loan repayments. IDR options are monthly repayment amounts based on your family size and income. The most common plans are Income-Based Repayment (IBR), Income Contingent Repayment (ICR), and Pay As You Earn (PAYE) plans. Find out which one is right for you! Learn more >
