Missouri NEA invites you to the 2026 Summer Leadership Conference, a three-day learning and networking experience designed to strengthen your skills as a union leader and advocate.

This event will help you:

  • Build the skills to effectively advocate for your members
  • Strengthen and grow your local union
  • Plan for 2026–27 with your team, MNEA staff, and other leaders

The conference will officially open with a General Session on Friday, June 12, and run through Sunday, June 14.

Conference Cost:

There is no registration fee to attend this conference. The only costs locals may incur are for additional hotel rooms beyond those covered by MNEA, transportation and any meals not provided. Meals provided include dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.

Check-In:

Please plan to arrive on June 12. Check-in and dinner will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The conference begins at 6:00 p.m.

Hotel Support:

Missouri NEA will provide two double hotel rooms for each local team that includes the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Membership Chair. Locals that also submit their Organizing Plan (template attached) will qualify for one additional room. MNEA will make all hotel reservations and invoice the local for any rooms not covered by MNEA.

Next Steps:

Once your team is reported, each team member will receive a registration invitation to select their workshops. More information about the Summer Leadership agenda will be included within the individual registration.
