The NEA Foundation Grants and Global Learning Fellowship

The NEA Foundation Grants

Over the past decade, The NEA Foundation has invested more than $8 million in teaching grants to support the work of more than 5,000 educators from every state in the country to help students succeed. Each year, the Foundation awards approximately 150 Student Achievement and Learning and Leadership Grants. The NEA Foundation awards two levels of grant funding, $1,500 or $5,000, for the following categories to public education professionals who are NEA members.

Global Learning Fellowship

Through The NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellowship, public school educators develop the knowledge and skills to integrate global competency into their daily classroom instruction, advocate for global competency in their schools and districts, and help students to thrive in our increasingly interconnected world. Fellows transform their classrooms to give students a global perspective.

The NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellows participate in a year-long professional development program that includes in-person workshops, online coursework, webinars by leading experts, peer learning, and an international field study experience.

The NEA Foundation partners with EF Educational Tours, a global leader in international education, to design transformative field study experiences for the Fellows. Learn more and apply >

ABOUT THE NEA FOUNDATION

The NEA Foundation is a national nonprofit and philanthropic organization based in Washington, DC. Founded by educators, our mission is to work in partnership with others to promote the absolute best in public education. We believe that the most innovative and effective policies and strategies emanate from educators engaged in authentic partnerships with policymakers, students, parents, and others who are committed to educational equity, excellence, and opportunity. Through the transformative power of these partnerships, we believe we can improve both students' and communities' educational experiences.

Since its beginning in 1969, The NEA Foundation has served as a laboratory of learning, offering funding and other resources to public school educators, their schools, and districts to solve complex teaching and learning challenges. We believe that when educators unleash their own power, ideas, and voices, communities, schools, and students all benefit.
