Back to School Takes on New Look
Local affiliate activities and public education are looking very different this year, but life and local advocacy go on as leaders find new ways to continue their work.
How do you introduce the union to new and current bargaining unit members while practicing social distancing and safety during COVID-19? That was the question facing local leaders of the Columbia MNEA in August. The solution? CMNEA planned a "drive-thru" introduction to the union where new hires could meed CMNEA leaders and learn how CMNEA members have improved working conditions for the employees of Columbia Public Schools.
