I envision a future of learning and growth where every student thrives, every educator is valued, and education is a pathway to success. My leadership transcends from the local to the state and national levels of NEA. Harnessing an unwavering dedication to addressing the diverse needs within the education system, I am eager to serve as your NEA Director.

As Building Representative, Membership Chair, and Public Relations Personnel, locally, I keep members informed and engaged. Statewide, serving on the Board of Directors, Human Rights Committee, and Ethnic Minority Advisory Committee reflects my commitment to tackling broader issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Nationally, through NEA’s Leaders for Just Schools, I actively contribute to ensuring safe, just, and equitable schools.

Currently a Special Education Instructional Coach and Elementary Extended School Year Coordinator, alongside my leadership roles within NEA, I am steadfast in my commitment to promote, advance, and protect public education, advocating for the rights of all students and educational professionals.

By seeking to understand and amplifying our collective voice, I will advance educational opportunities and champion critical initiatives in education. Vote DeNaé Bush for NEA Director. Together, we can ensure EDUCATION, EQUITY, and EXCELLENCE for all!

I am excited to announce my candidacy for NEA Director for the state of Missouri! I am proud of Missouri educators who continue to tirelessly advocate for students, communities, and our profession. I have served as a local leader for NKC-NEA including secretary and now 2nd Vice President. My attention to detail and dedication to our association earned recognition in 2021 when MNEA named me the “SOAR with the Eagles” awardee, recognizing me as a rising leader. It would be my honor to serve you as NEA Director, Advocating for a Brighter Future for All!
