As an educator, you are the expert on what is best for schools and students. That’s why educators should work side by side with the policy creators and lawmakers regarding decisions about schools and students. Join the Missouri NEA and fellow public school educators across the state and nation to make sure your voice is heard.
When you join, you will also be a member of the National Education Association and your local association. Three unions—local, state, and national—working for you.

To be eligible for active membership, you must work in Missouri at a K-12 public or charter school or a public college or university. See eligibility for retired and student memberships below.

Early Enrollment and Reduced Dues
Beginning April 1, 2026, first-time active members receive the following:
Year 1: 50% OFF state and national dues.*
Year 2: 25% OFF state and national dues.*
Year 3: Full Dues
*First-time members or returning public school staff receive $0 dues until September. New members qualify for reduced dues for two years. The reduced dues structure is 50% off state and national dues in year one, 25% off state and national dues in year two, and full dues in year three. Returning members who were not members during the 2024-25 or 2025-26 membership years (two full years) also qualify for the reduced dues program. Early enrollees are not eligible for NEA Legal Services until September 1, 2026, when their full active membership dues commence.
Aspiring Educators
College tuition is expensive. 
It's FREE to join MNEA-Aspiring Educators. Missouri NEA is picking up the $15 NEA dues, so you can enjoy free dues. Your membership is good Sept. 1-Aug. 31. Your membership doesn't automatically renew, so add a calendar reminder to join again in August.
Dues Rebate
If you join MNEA as a teacher or Education Support Professional after college graduation, you are eligible for a $20 rebate for every year you were a member of NEA Aspiring Educators.

You may be retired from your careers in education, but we know many of you are still fighting the good fight for public schools.
Public education and educators face challenges that require the resolve and support of all its members--both active and retired. NEA needs your support, your wisdom, and your leadership to forge a path forward.
