National Board Certification is one of the most respected accomplishments in education, and many educators describe the process as one of the most rewarding experiences of their careers. Through reflection, self-assessment, and professional growth, candidates strengthen their practice and increase their impact on student learning. Many Missouri school districts also recognize National Board Certification through salary schedule advancement or stipends.
Now, MNEA is adding another benefit to the journey.

Through a new partnership with Augustana University, National Board Certification candidates who are MNEA members—and non-members who attend an MNEA Jump Start training—can earn up to nine graduate credit hours for their work toward certification.
Graduate credit is available for just $50 per credit hour and is awarded upon submission of National Board Component documentation of completion.
It’s another way MNEA is helping educators turn professional growth into meaningful career advancement.
Cost: $50 per credit hour
Timeline: Graduate credit is awarded upon submission of National Board Component competition documentation.
