Membership Renewal Campaign

In the spring, MNEA will email members a renewal or authorization link, whichever applies to their payment method. The email contains information about the process, their NEA Member ID, and contact information to the UniServ director and administrative assistant that serves their local association.

If members complete their renewal or authorization before June 1, they will be entered in a drawing for $500.

Bank Draft/Credit Card

Members currently paying by bank draft or recurring credit card will be asked to authorize their payments and fund contributions annually. Their membership is automatically rolled over to the next membership, even without authorization. However, fund contributions will be $0 if they do not authorize each year.

Payroll Deduction

Payroll deduction is only available in a limited number of school districts. If your local association is not currently set up to pay by payroll deduction, you will not have the option to switch to payroll deduction. Members paying through payroll deduction must RENEW their MNEA membership and authorize funds every year. If they do not complete a renewal form, their membership will expire on Aug. 31, and they will no longer have legal liability or protection.

Retiring this year

Members who are retiring this year will be asked to complete a form to let us know their intentions. It will do two things. First, make sure we do not charge them active dues for the next school year. Second, ask them to join MNEA-Retired in order to keep their member benefits and liability insurance in case they work as a substitute.

Let MNEA know you are retiring
