JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The following Statement can be attributed to Phillip Murray, Missouri National Education Association president:

“The Missouri National Education Association (MNEA) stands with the United Auto Workers (UAW) as they engage in a targeted nationwide strike against General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis. The 3,700 UAW members at the Wentzville GM plant are our neighbors, friends, and the parents of our students. We support the UAW's efforts to protect America’s middle-class and bargain a fair contract.”
