NEA’s edCommunities
VIRTUAL SUPPORT & DISCUSSION GROUPS
NEA edCommunities is a free, online professional practice community open to anyone who cares about improving education and student success. This open community allows educators to connect, collaborate, and engage with others across a myriad of topics and groups. NEA edCommunities allows asynchronous conversations between colleagues in a school building or district. Creators of most local groups make the group private to provide a safe space for meaningful dialogue, but group members can create links to public groups to ensure broad discussions.
Ask questions and share tips on classroom management in the Classroom Management group. Early career teachers participating in MNEA’s "I Can Do It" Beginning Teacher Assistance Program join this group to have their questions answered by the real experts—experienced teachers. Teachers can also share links and upload documents related to classroom management into the group files.
