2023 Read-On Missouri Tour
promotes NEA's Read Across America.
MNEA's Read-On Missouri Tour is scheduled for Feb. 27 - March 8, 2023.
Since 1999, Missouri NEA has sponsored a state tour, celebrating National Education Association’s Read Across America, to help inspire reading in Missouri’s youth. The NEA's nationwide reading celebration takes place each year during the first week of March.
MNEA Pres. Phil Murray and Vice Pres. Rebeka McIntosh inspire students by connecting reading with success in life. MNEA encourages local leaders to organize classroom activities that promote lifetime reading habits and use skits, parades, games, and other activities that celebrate reading and further the message that reading opens doors to opportunities to learn and grow in our diverse world.
As you plan your event, remember to line up a photographer to record your event in pictures. Be sure to share your event ideas and photos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by @mentioning Missouri NEA.
MNEA will be publishing a photo spread of Read Across America events in the summer issue of Something Better magazine. By April 1, submit high-quality photos (one megabyte or larger) and a short description of the photos to Mark Jones at mark.jones@mnea.org or Missouri NEA, Attn: Mark Jones, 1810 E.
