Read Across America
Read-On Missouri Tour
promotes NEA's Read Across America

Since 1999, Missouri NEA has sponsored
Read Across America tour to help inspire
reading in Missouri’s youth. The National
Education Association’s nationwide reading celebration
takes place each year during the week of March 2nd.
Missouri NEA Pres. Phil Murray and Vice Pres. Rebeka
McIntosh will engage with students about the connection
between reading and success in life. We encourage local
leaders to organize assemblies that promote lifetime
reading habits and use skits, parades, games and other
activities that celebrate reading and further the message
that reading opens doors to opportunities to learn and
grow in our diverse world.
If you would like to apply for a stop on the Read-On Missouri Tour (which replaces the Cat Tracks Tour) during the weeklong event, please complete the tour form at www.mnea.org/read-on.
The official tour is Feb. 24—March 6, 2020.
Application deadline: Jan. 2, 2020
