Tuition Grants
for Probationary Teachers

issouri NEA understands your struggles as a probationary
teacher. You want to be the best educator you can be for the
students in your classroom, and you know there's more knowledge
to gain. You've finished your bachelor's degree and are ready
to take on a graduate program. But the budget is tight, and
you're not sure how you'll swing it.
Missouri NEA can help. Your MNEA membership means you can
receive a $100 tuition grant toward the cost of a three-hour
graduate course. Thanks to funding from Reliant Financial
Services, members who are probationary teachers in their first five years of teaching will have financial
support as they strive toward academic growth and teaching
excellence.
Recipients are only eligible to receive one grant per year.
The applicant must complete the course and achieve a grade
of 'C' or better before receiving funds. Fifty grants will
be awarded for the summer and fall semesters each year. A
random drawing will be held each semester to decide the 50
winners. Membership in Missouri NEA must be confirmed before
the grant is awarded and again before the money is disbursed.
Print, complete and fax the following form. The applications
are due Sept. 15, 2008.
