During
the two-day workshop, you will learn details about the
national board certification process and how to organize
your resources and time to be most efficient. The trainers
will offer their own ideas and insights and be able
to answer your questions. You will leave the sessions
with a personalized plan. You must plan to participate
both days. Information in this workshop will
include:
- Reviewing
the National Board process;
- Documenting
your accomplishments;
- Collecting
student work samples;
- Planning
and conducting your video tape;
- Group
dynamics and video taping;
- Strategies
for "packing the box"; and
- Planning
for the Assessment Center.
The
two-day National Board Certification Jumpstart Program
is free to MNEA members and includes Saturday night’s
lodging (double occupancy), lunch and seminar materials.
The program runs 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 8
a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Due to space limitation, members
will pay a $50 registration fee that will be refunded
the first day of the seminar. “No shows”
will forfeit their $50 registration fee. Non-members
may attend for a fee of $250 (non-refundable).
APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 31, 2010.
All
applicants must download and submit the application
form with check or money order payable to Missouri NEA
in the amount of $50 ($250 non-members) to:

this one-day workshop, you will learn details about
the national board certification process and even assist
you in beginning one of the portfolios. You will look
closely at one portfolio and create a plan for approaching
it now. The "Take One" option will be discussed.
The trainers will offer their own ideas and insights
and be able to answer your questions. Information
will include:
- Understanding

Documenting your accomplishments

Conducting your video tape

Take One!
This
program is free to MNEA members lunch and seminar materials.
Due to space limitations, members are required to pay
a $30 registration fee that will be refunded upon arrival.
