Cat Tracks Tour does double duty

Once again Missouri NEA’s president and vice president will tour the state to promote reading through NEA’s Read Across America, but this year two cats will be on tour. This year the MNEA tour will cover twice the ground. MNEA President Chris Guinther will head one direction, and Vice President Charles Smith will head the other in hopes of bringing MNEA’s Read Across America message to more kids and bringing more smiles across the state.

If you would like to apply for a “Cat Stop” as Guinther and Smith make their tracks across the state March 2-6, please complete the “President’s Cat Tour” section of the Cat Tracks form, which you will find at www.mnea.org/classkids/raa.htm. The deadline for applications is Jan. 2, 2009. If you would like to reserve the costume for a special event outside of the Read Across America week, complete the “Cat Costume Request” section on the same form. Return Cat Tracks applications to Linda Bell, Missouri NEA Communications, 1810 E. Elm St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. For further information, contact Linda Bell at (800) 392-0236 or Linda.Bell@mnea.org.
