The Missouri NEA Representative Assembly
will be held on Friday, Nov. 7 at the University Plaza Hotel
in Springfield, MO. A luncheon honoring Quality Local Associations
and recognizing minority participation will be held during
the R.A. lunch break. Tickets
can be purchased online for $20/plate.
Local associations should elect and submit
local and alternate delegates by Oct. 2. A packet containing
information about the Fall R.A. will be mailed to delegates.

Please make plans to attend the Fall
Conference Saturday, Nov. 8. It is free to the public
and will include workshops, exhibit hall and a general session
entitled “Rachel's Challenge.”
Lunch Reservations
Missouri NEA will host a luncheon
honoring Quality Local Associations and recognizing minority
participation during the R.A. lunch break. Tickets
can be purchased online for $20/plate.
Lunch will be served with tossed salad, vegetables,
dessert, rolls, butter, coffee and iced tea with a choice
of the following entrées:
- Grilled chicken breast with red pepper
cream sauce and chef's choice of starch
- Cheese ravioli with marinara sauce

Reservations must be made by Oct.
14 in order to receive the above rate.
It is recommended that you call the hotel directly at
(417) 864-7333 and mention you are with the Missouri NEA
Conference. The MNEA room rate is good for up to four
nights Wednesday, Nov. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 8. A deposit
equal to the room rate for the first or a credit card
is required. The deposit is refundable if the reservation
is cancelled at least 72 hours in advance.

about the hotel:
Guests will enjoy a fitness
center, sauna, sundeck and both indoor and outdoor pools.
High-speed Internet access is available throughout the hotel
and parking is complimentary. Pets smaller than 25 pounds
are welcome with a small deposit.
The University Plaza Hotel is located
in downtown Springfield, MO. Traveling on I-44, you will
need to exit at Glenstone Ave (south). Then, drive south
on Glenstone Ave toward St. Louis Avenue. Turn right (west)
on St. Louis Avenue. University Plaza is on the left-hand
side of the street and is very easy to access from St.
Louis Avenue. Visit the University
Plaza Web site for a map and alternate directions
to the hotel and convention center.
