Across America
Cat
Tour
Once again Missouri NEA's president and vice
president will tour the state to promote reading through NEA's
Read Across America the week of March 2, the birthday of the
noted children's author Theodore Geisel—better known
as Dr. Seuss. However, this year two Cat-in-the-Hats will
be on tour. The MNEA Cat Tracks tour will cover twice the
ground. MNEA President Chris Guinther will head one direction,
while MNEA Vice President Charles Smith heads the other in
hopes of bringing MNEA's Read Across America message to more
kids and bringing more smiles across the state. The 2009 Cat
Tour will take place March 2-6, 2009. If
you would like to apply for a "Cat Stop", please
complete
a tour application and submit to Linda
Bell before Jan. 2, 2009.

The Cat costume is available throughout the year for other
functions as well. There is no charge for members to borrow
the costume; however, members may be responsible for shipping
expenses. If you would like to reserve the Cat costume, contact
Linda Bell at (573)

or download
a printable flier.

you order a RAA resource
kit from NEA, you will also get an easy to navigate CD-ROM
