Voice Academy
The National Institutes of Health funded this Web site project, and it is available at no cost to teachers. The Voice Academy Web site is much like a bridge between schoolteachers and leading researchers and health care professionals specializing in voice.

The Lesson Machine
The Lesson Machine Web site provides comprehsive lesson plans rangin from classromm songs for younger grades to global geography and international government studies fore intermediate classrooms.

Funology: The Science of Having Fun
There are hundreds of activities for kids and their teachers to investigate. Favorites—Abracadabra (lots of # tricks) and Laboratory-(enough chemistry, biology and physics to keep everyone happy)

United States Environmental Protection Agency
The EPA presents interesting material on Indoor Air Quality that may be a concern to you and your school/work or home environment.

Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
A handy reference for Missouri public schools.

U.S. Department of Education
Discover comprehensive information on programs from drug abuse and reading instruction to Goals 2000 and educational research - with multiple links.

GED Online  
This internet-based classroom makes it easy to prepare for your GED.

The New York Times on the Web
This site has lots of great lesson plans for grades 6-12 using the New York Times as reading material

Contains over 1,000 Webquests and 6,200 lesson plans for science, social studies, math, reading, writing and technology.

Teachers First
Offers classroom, professional and site resources and information for teachers, plus a space for teachers to "talk" with other teachers about methods they use in the classroom as well as ideas for incorporating computers.

iParadigms
This site tells more about a new program that helps teachers detect student plagiarism. The technology also is being applied to track other digital intellectual property, such as the bootleg distribution of music, movies and computer software.

GreatTeacher.net
Contains free resources for teachers including education links, employment listings by state, free e-mail and a chat room.

EduHound
A great place to find educational web sites, teacher resources, lesson plans, libraries, webquests, reference materials, adult continuing education, technology information and much more!

Connections+
Consists of Internet resources--lesson plans, activities, curriculum resources--linked with corresponding subject-area content standards. Developed by McREL, the Mid-Continent Regional Educational Lab.

Teachers Helping Teachers
A forum for teachers across the country to offer and receive advice on a variety of subject areas ranging from classroom management to special education. Also features a one-stop page of education resources and a "stress reduction moment of the week."

Teacher's Edition Online
Offers lessons, teaching tips and real world advice on such topics as "classroom public relations." Teachers can also join an electronic mailing list to share with colleagues ideas on a broad range of topics.

ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center)
The nation's information network connecting virtually all educational information providers and educational information users. AskEric provides abstracts of some 1300 ERIC digests available online.

The Internet Public Library
The first Internet Public Library offers over 1000 links, with special sections for teens and youngsters.

Library of Congress
Explore documents, photographs, movies and sound recordings that tell America's historical story.

Lesson Plans
Reach out to the extensive resources of the Eric databases; visit a virtual library and AskEric.

The Flying Turtle
Explore this site to find articles and pictures explaining the way nature works. This site is beneficial for students as well as teachers.

Going Around in Cycles
This is an interesting site for middle school teachers to help explain the cycles of the Earth and atmosphere.

X-Rays in Space
NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory was launched in July of 1999 from the space shuttle Columbia. You can now see the detailed images it sends back to Earth on this Web site.

Becoming Human
Becoming Human is a really neat site for Science teachers who teach evolution. Your students are able to view a short documentary about evolution.

The eSkeleton Project
This site is a wonderful teaching tool when it comes to anatomy. It offers interactive learning of the human skeleton as well as other animals.

ThinkQuest
A project developed by computer graphics students at high schools in the Bronx and Sweden, exploring the mystery of the Mona Lisa through scientific inquiry.

NASA's K-12 Initiative
Explore space-related site, chat with astronauts, get classroom activities and find out about training opportunities.

The Why Files
Updated every two weeks, this popular site provides the science behind current news stories.

Live from Antarctica 2
A NASA field trip to Antarctica that students can join electronically, complete with curriculum resources, email interaction and three live satellite broadcasts starting Jan. 23. Students can ask questions online of scientists aboard the Coast Guard icebreaker, the Polar Duke.

Sea World

National Air & Space Museum

This is a great site for music teachers and early childhood educators.  This site is a rich resource of books, cassettes, CD's, and musical instruments.  

Play Music
Visitors can play games, listen to music and test knowledge of various musical instruments in an orchestra. 


Ethnic Diversity

CREDE
The Center for Research on Education, Diversity and Excellence works to improve education for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students placed at risk by factors of linguistic or cultural diversity, economics or geography. CREDE engages in more than 30 research projects around the U.S.

Nez Perce National Historic Trail
This is an educational Web site that follows the history of the Nez Perce Indians who fled during the War of 1877. It includes maps, lesson plans, and plenty of photographs.
