NEA's Women's Leadership Training Program will be at the DoubleTree Hotel in Jefferson City, MO July 16-17. This training is for teachers, ESP, and/or students, male or female. It is designed for members wanting to strengthen their leadership skills. WLTP assists experienced Association leaders in establishing their own leadership development and in moving into higher levels of Association leadership.
This workshop provides some practical information and gives tools and skills needed to make informed decisions about running for office. Participants will gain experience in deciding to run, choosing a campaign team, selecting issues that will drive their platform and writing and delivering a campaign speech.
The two-day training is free to MNEA members and includes one night’s lodging (double occupancy), three meals and seminar materials. Since space is limited, members will pay a $50 registration fee that will be refunded the first day of the seminar. No-shows will forfeit their $50.
