Preparing for Praxis II
Praxis II is the state licensure assessment to become a certified teacher in Missouri. Graduating college students as well as teachers who are seeking certification in other areas are required to pass the Praxis II in order to qualify for a valid license.
MNEA is offering one-hour live online trainings to help you take the Praxis II. You'll participate in real time with the presenter and other participants. This new format allows you to ask questions and gain from the input of others. You can participate anywhere using a computer with an internet connection. If your computer has a speaker and microphone, you do not even need a phone. If not, you can call a toll-free number for the audio. For more information about this program, contact Ann Jarrett (ann.jarrett@mnea.org) or Becky Stewart (becky.stewart@mnea.org) at 1-800-392-0236.
The Online Training program includes other sessions of interest to Student MNEA members. The Online Training program is exclusive to MNEA members. To join student MNEA go to student membership form. You must log in to MNEA Members Only for a complete listing of available Online Training Seminars.

Praxis II Test at a Glance
Find the Test at a Glance for the specific Praxis II you are taking. Test at a Glance tells you the type of questions on your test, main concepts covered, and sample questions. This page also contains links to other free resources.
Suggested ways to use the Test at a Glance to prepare for the test
First, time yourself as you answer the sample questions. Then compare your time for that number of questions to the number of questions on your test and the time given for the test. This may help you feel better about the time allowed. Remember, do not spend too long on one question, and there is no penalty for guessing.
Second, match each sample question with the main concept you believe it covers. That will give you an idea of how main concepts may be addressed. Compare your matches with other students taking the same test, and discuss any differences in your choices. Identify strengths and weaknesses. Identify resources to help you improve your weak areas. Many people find a study group is very helpful.
