MNEA-Retired CHEER Grants help fund educators’ projects

This year has been especially difficult for educators. Show an educator a little love and nominate one for a Caring Help for Education Endeavors by Retirees Grant. Teachers and education support professionals are eligible to apply for this grant. You just need a MNEA-Retired member to be your "sponsor."

The CHEER Charitable Fund was formed by Missouri NEA-Retired to be a public service by enhancing the learning conditions of Missouri's children. CHEER Grants provide opportunities for MNEA-Retired members to reach out to public school district employees and provide financial assistance and material resources for worthy projects. 

MNEA-Retired has extended the deadline for submitting applications to Feb. 15, 2021.

Applicants must be active members of Missouri NEA and nominated by an MNEA-Retired member. Past projects have included, workroom renovations, classroom setup needs, school supplies, buddy packs, field trips, books, games, furniture, support staff equipment and needs.
