MNEA President
Chris Guinther
Guinther is a staff development coordinator for the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles County. She assumed the top leadership position as MNEA's full-time president on Aug. 1, 2007, after serving six years as MNEA vice president.
MNEA Vice President
Charles Smith
Smith is a high school teacher in the Center School District in the Kansas City metropolitan area. He currently works full-time for MNEA members as vice president of the Association. He began his term as vice president Aug. 1, 2007, after serving seven years as an NEA Director.
Missouri NEA has two representatives who serve on the National Education Association's Board of Directors.

Julia Todd
Julia Todd began her first year on the NEA Board of Directors Sept. 1, 2007. She is an A+ Coordinator in the Raymore-Peculiar School District. Julia has previously served on the MNEA Board of Directors, as local president and as an MNEA representative to the Missouri Advisory Council for Certification of Educators (MACCE).
NEA Director
Phil Murray
Phil Murray, a teacher in Poplar Bluff, began his term as NEA Director in August 2011. He has served on the Missouri NEA Board of Directors, Credentials Committee, Summer Academy Host Committee, MNEA Representative Assembly Task Force and Dues Task Force. He has represented his local and state NEA affiliate as an NEA Convention delegate, and he has served as an MNEA delegate, Government Relations Team chair and Poplar Bluff NEA president.
