Elected to office at the MNEA Representative Assembly in April 2013, Smith began his three-year term Aug. 1, 2013. He is a teacher on leave from the Center School District in south Kansas City metropolitan area. He served MNEA as vice president for six years, after serving seven years as an NEA Director.

Elected to office at the MNEA Representative Assembly in April, Fullington began his three-year term Aug. 1, 2013. He is a teacher on leave from the Springfield School District. He served as NEA Director for Missouri for three years, and held various other positions of the Springfield NEA, including vice president, secretary and treasurer.
Missouri NEA has two representatives who serve on the National Education Association's Board of Directors.
Phil Murray, a teacher in Poplar Bluff, began his term as NEA Director in August 2011. He has served on the Missouri NEA Board of Directors, Credentials Committee, Summer Academy Host Committee, MNEA Representative Assembly Task Force and Dues Task Force. He has represented his local and state NEA affiliate as an NEA Convention delegate, and he has served as an MNEA delegate, Government Relations Team chair, Credentials Committee chair and Poplar Bluff NEA president.
Lisa Kickbusch, a teacher in the Pattonville School District, began her term as NEA director in August 2013. She has also served on the Missouri NEA Board of Directors, Legislative Committee, Summer Academy Host Committee and Resolutions Committee. She has been a delegate to many MNEA and NEA Representative Assemblies. Lisa received the MNEA Shirley Cromer Leadership Award in 2012. She has served as president of Pattonville NEA and as a member her local association's negotiations team.
