Future Educators Association
What is FEA?
Future Educators Associations allow students in grades 7-12 to explore careers in education, an important step in preparing quality teachers for tomorrow’s schools. Phi Delta Kappa is the national sponsor of FEA, and Missouri NEA is the state coordinator. Individual students now join FEA as part of a school chapter or as individuals in schools without a chapter. To join, go to www.futureeducators.org. FEA is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a career and technical student organization. Schools that offer a state-approved career and technical education program of study can receive funds through the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 2006. For more information on establishing education and training career cluster courses you should contact Cynthia Arendt, Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at cynthia.arendt@dese.mo.gov.
If you have questions about the FEA Training or becoming a FEA advisor, contact Ann Jarrett at 800-392-0236, ext. 1120, or by email at ann.jarrett@mnea.org.
